The chances are that someone you know, teach, or work with is affected by a neurodevelopmental condition such as ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, or Tourette’s syndrome.
According to the UK Equality Act (2010), all employers and educators have a duty to provide 'reasonable adjustments' to individuals with a neurodevelopmental condition - but what does that actually mean, and how do you know what counts as reasonable for your organisation and the individual involved? |
“We approached Hannah and Lucy at Lunah Training to run a session at our staff day as we had noted that approximately a third of our students were identifying as Neurodivergent. Our teaching staff wanted to learn more about Neurodiversity and how to support Neurodivergent students both in the classroom and with practical skills. Lunah training did a fantastic job and the feedback from our staff was overwhelmingly positive commenting on a good pace, presentation style and depth and breadth of information delivered. Hannah and Lucy tailored the session to our needs, made it fun and interactive and bought a lot of equipment to support learning. This was really appreciated by staff and gave them a lot of ideas of what might be useful in a classroom setting. I can highly recommend Lunah training.”
